This is November & December's Post...Lots going on with the holidays, trip to the mountains, new work study, and my writing course assignments! I enjoyed the cabin visit with my sister Tina and friends during Thanksgiving break, loved my daughter's first family Thanksgiving dinner @ her house, I could get used to that, hummmm...lol! Enjoyed the visits and the hugs & kisses from the grandkids, family, & friends! Picked up Christmas decor and now have the house all festive. Love the lights and memories of each piece and most of all remember the most precious gift in my life, my Lord, Jesus Christ...May the spirit of all that Christmas represents fill your hearts with love & joy! Peace to the world <3 z

My Work Update

Okay, working hard on multiple projects! Just started an advanced writing course. Waiting with anticipation for my Instructor/Author: Clara Gillow Clark to give me feedback and guidance. She has many books and awards published for young readers. Secrets of Greymoor (Candlewick 2009), is a middle-grade mystery that any youngster or adult would enjoy! I'm reading it now for research and being a fan of historical fiction and mystery, I love it! My grandkids will love it too, but they will have to wait till I get done!

My personal reading has been curtailed but is still snuck into my day at least once! I am reading research material and age 10&up books to study different author's versions of storytelling. I'll through one in here and there for good measure! I am reading a thick book at the moment and only 1/4th of the way through...I will share reviews when I finish but until then I will share from my recently read stack before back to school!

HAPPY READING!

Heart Tugs

My sister Anne came to celebrate my birthday and catch up on "girl talk." We sat by the pool in the lovely end of  Summer weather and talked, tanned, and read for a beautiful week! Thank you sis, your my hero! She doesn't get to read alot for entertainment but she brought 2 new books and left them for me to read!
"Hannah's List" by Debbie Macomber. What a heart touching story of a woman who knew she ill and unselfishly thinks of her beloved husband and what losing her would mean to his world. She leaves him a letter with her list of prospects to help him find a new wife. I loved the way the story is told from the husband point of view. Very entertaining and thought provoked, don't know if I could do it...
"Heartache Falls" by Emily March. Anyone who has been married a long time can relate to this enchanting story of a woman who made choices between career and family. Since she now has moved into the middle phase of life, she is not satisfied with just the titles of being someone's Mom and someone's wife. She desires more from life, marriage, and unfulfilled dreams...
Loved the stories, Loved the visit, Love My Sisters!

Book Review: Author - Terry Brooks: Genre - Epic Fantasy

Discovered Book One of The Voyage of the Jerle Shannara - Isle Witch in a used bookstore. I couldn't put it down! Mystery, Adventure, and Colorful Characters! The cast consists of elven kings and warriors, druids, witches, Rovers; unusual mercenaries, magical creatures, two cousins that are highland mountain men, all joining in a dangerous adventure into unknown lands in search of a great treasure that will benefit mankind and unite the group in a battle against good and evil. Story telling that keeps you riveted from beginning to end and craving more...book one ends  and leads into book 2 - ANTRAX; that leads you into book 3 - MORGAWR. The triology is a must read for lovers of Fantasy!

New Ideas

As I work on my own stories, I will share how that's going...Until then, since I am an avid reader and bookaholic...I thought I'd do reviews on the many books I've read recently and continue to find and read sharing my thoughts. You might like to read one or two yourself and share your review with me.
Look for new posts!

Happy Reading!
